Lucilyn: very good for personality forcing of course, but it doesn't train the "communicating back and forth with your tulpa" muscle (unless you're specifically practicing vocality through writing their responses or something like that, which we never really recommend over plain talking in-mind)(edited)

confabulation is just self-gaslighting
ergo, i support it
In a sense, all tulpamancy is confabulation, have you ever tried to retroactively change who did something in your system? Surprise, you can and its really easy. Thats the fundamental of how it everything works. When you learn tulpamancy you slowly learn to retroactively decide that your parroting was actually your tulpa. To the point it becomes different.(edited)
Mhm. As long as the action isn't too impsctful and remains realistic for the world building of the wl, it shouldn't cause too many disruptions, at least personally.
What i mean is, sometimes a headmate will say something, and if you try, you'll realize you can go "well actually it was this other headmate" and suddently it was them all along.

For example, we have magic use in our wl, and use it frequently for fun. This aligns with our world building, so we can confabulate doing magic as long as it also aligns with being everyday for our standards

Imagination involves you not trying to convince yourself it's real
To divide yourself you had to accept that part of you was actually someone else, which is the same im proposing in this experiment, just with another layer of it.
I take the view that there's some level of autonomy in your head and if you force for long enough and you'll listen in closely you'll find some of that autonomy just kind of feels like your tulpa.

Rather than considering it self-division or rooted 'Identity first", which I used to be really big on but I kind of moved away from it over time
Well, i think its a bit different, i think at the start its just you forcing, until you fully convince yourself otherwise to the point its clearly different.
And when I say some level of autonomy I'm not really thinking about full parallel processing sort of thing, but just sort of the idea that everything that goes on in your head is a little bit out of your control and you can kind of play with that fuzziness

You should actually try, retroactive headmate changing is possible. (unless what they said is extremely characteristic of one of them and you are fully convinced it would be them).

But if a headmate goes: "hey, what are you going to do today?" or something generic like that. You can then go and accept it was someone else
Not in a “exists separate from attention” sort of way, but more of how the brain can give it attention in the background just ‘under’ your perception if that makes sense

Well
The funny part is that the mind is perfectly capable of autonomy without people realizing it
I feel like a lot of it is just that your brain has zero expectations for reality when you're dreaming so the characters are actually crazy inconsistent, You just don't care

Dreams are weird, pretty sure I haven't had one for the last two days. And of the times I did have dreams, I had very specific dreams that repeated several times, just last week I had a dream I had had a couple of years ago and it was consistent with the original but with new people I've met over the years

To clarify, I do have normal dreams most days, I just don't remember them at all
